  • Class D
At the age of 75 I no longer have the strength I used to. One of my Cary 211 FE amps needs to be serviced. At 90 pounds unpacked and 124 crated it is a challenge. I have been reading about Class D amps for awhile so I made the mistake of borrowing a pair of your Class D amps. To put it simply, I was amazed by their sound. For quite some time I have been a tube guy. Your Class D amps have a similar sound to my Carys but with better bass and accuracy to the source. The biggest difference between the amps is after an hour and a half the Carys have another gear that kicks in. The presentation at that point gets you closer to the illusion that the artist is in the room with you. The downside is it takes an an hour and a half and sometimes two to get there. Sometimes, I only want to listen to music for an hour or like tonight I have 7 neighbors coming over for a music and Bourbon evening and the room will get too warm with the tube amps running.
I am amazed that a renowed tube amp designer could pivot so successfully and design a Class D amp that sounds simply terrific to this tube amp lover. Needless to say, I am now the proud owner of a pair of your Class D amps.

    Thanks
